Auckland Boat ShowThis year’s Auckland Boat Show
features a new venue and format.
New format
for Auckland show
The Auckland Boat Show is back with a new format and venue.

The 2020 Auckland Boat Show will showcase the best of New Zealand marine after a unique year. The show’s dates have changed to October 8-11 and the inside portion of the show has moved to The Cloud and Shed 10, while on-water exhibitors will be found in the Viaduct Harbour Marina.

“We’re looking forward to giving the New Zealand boating public a place to see the latest releases, Kiwi innovations, new vessels and meet the marine industry; all in one spot,” says organiser Stacey Cook.

“We are hearing feedback that plenty of New Zealanders are planning more time spent on the water this year, and we’re excited to match them with innovations from the exhibiting companies.”

This year’s show will have plenty of new fishing gear on display,
as well as new release trailer boats, a bumper range of amphibious
craft, RIBs and marine supplies to get boaters set for summer. Moving the show has created more space for interior exhibitors, which means more local companies will be able to exhibit and engage in the interaction the show is known for.

The exhibitors found in Shed 10 and The Cloud cover a wide range of marine needs, including watersports, anti-fouling, engines, fishing gear, marine electronics and safety gear.

The show’s sea trial area will return, giving show goers the chance to experience select trailer boats, RIBS, amphibious boats and other vessels on display. Always popular with punters, sea trials give buyers the ability to see how a boat moves and performs on the water by heading out onto the Hauraki Gulf.

Tickets are on sale now (see page 85 for details) and each online ticket purchase puts the buyer in the draw to win something from a prize pool of marine goodies.

BalexDock: The ultimate launch padFor the second year, the Balex team will be showcasing the Balex Dock at the Auckland Boat Show. The Balex Dock is a customised floating dock solution that keeps your boat out of the water and gives you a controlled launch and retrieve at the touch of a button every time. It’s perfect for launching and retrieving on waterways, marinas and at the lake. The product eliminates the need for hull scraping, anti-fouling or power loading.
Come see the dock system in action on the water in the Eastern Viaduct Marina.
